Tampa Bay Tech Titans
A year ago, we were looking at some new pieces to the Titan puzzle. A good amount of inexperience players who were going be counted on to make an impact. This year, the Titans have veteran players at just about each position. Starting in the middle of the defense with middle line backer Fred Russ. He is a big hitting, flow finding, impact player for the Titans. He brings attitude and energy to not only the defense, but the team.
Tajee Fullwood has blown up into a statewide name. Still pretty humble and hungry, the Titans have a legit cover corner in Fullwood which will allow the defense to apply lots of pressure on the opposing offense.
Deon Thompson and Deon Cain return as second year starters at their respective position. Thompson could easily be a 1,000 yard rusher and Cain has a chance to be a 2500 total yard QB. Together, the two make for a dangerous running and passing threat allowing TBT to open up the offense playbook because of ability and experience.
The offensive line returns 2 of the 5 from last season. Alex Roque and Justin Edwards are the experienced veterans who will be the commanders for the Titan offensive front. Micah Tucker, Rashawn Washington and Manzy Valasquez return on the defensive front. A quick group, and aggressive unit, made lots of plays last season and will be the strength of the defense in 2013.
