The emergence of the spread offense in Tampa Bay has allowed perimeter skill players to flourish on both sides of the ball. Speaking specifically to the wide receivers, the more balls thrown, the more opportunities the wide outs have to make an impact on the outcome of the game.
1K receivers don’t come often and when a player ends a season with 1000 yards receiving, it is to be commended. Majority of the time, that number is a direct result if determination, confidence of the gunslinger and yards after the catch.
As hard as this was, we ranked the Top WIDE RECEIVERS in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco County (Disclaimer: we have not even touched the surface of Pasco County talent). These rankings will be evaluated again in the summer as opinions change and other players surface. The rankings are based on skill, talent, basically…who we think will be the top WRs of the 2012 season. Our evaluations are based on film review, Ignite Showcase performance, combines and practice observations.
