The running back is arguably the most natural position in football. Either you have it or you don’t. There is no technical side of it, no secrets to success or magic pill to make you better than the competition. Balance, vision, lateral movement and a feel for defenders are key characteristics in a good back. A back that has another gear in the open field, can make defenders miss and hits the hole with a purpose enables the offense to put pressure on the defense, opening up the passing game.
This group of running backs was one of the toughest groups to rank because of the skill, talent and depth of the position in our coverage area.
As hard as this was, we ranked the Top RUNNING BACKS in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco County (Disclaimer: we have not even touched the surface of Pasco County talent). These rankings will be evaluated again in the summer as opinions change and other players surface. The rankings are based on skill, talent, basically…who we think will be the best RBs of the 2012 season. Our evaluations are based on film review, Ignite Showcase performance, combines and practice observations.
