The gunslinger, signal caller, Leader! The QB has always been the focal point of any football team. There is no way around it. There are three people in every high school that everybody in that high school knows: The Head Football Coach, the Principal and the Starting QB. He takes the credit for big wins and excepts the criticism for a tough loss. Because the Dual Threat QB has become its own position in the game, the Pro Style drop back passer had to become a butcher of a passer, able to “deli meat” the defense. The Pro Style QB is evaluated as a traditional pocket passer with a dealy arm and pocket presense. He has to have the ability to read defenses and make sound decisions.
As hard as this was, we ranked the Top PRO STYLE QBs in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco County (Disclaimer: we have not even touched the surface of Pasco County talent). These rankings will be evaluated again in the summer as opinions change and other players surface. The rankings are based on skill, talent, basically…who we think will be the top PQBs of the 2012 season. Our evaluations are based on film review, Ignite Showcase performance, combines and practice observations.
