Receivers Receivers and more Receivers. Slot receivers are slightly different from the pass catchers on the edge. At times they are running backs taking horizontal speed sweeps and reverses. At times they are TEs or OTs sealing the edge and double teaming outside linebackers or defensive ends. The slot receiver is shifty and quick. He can make line backers miss and out run the secondary. They are versatile and durable. They can take a big hit or take a short pass for a big score.
As hard as this was, we ranked the Top SLOT RECEIVERS in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco County (Disclaimer: we have not even touched the surface of Pasco County talent). These rankings will be evaluated again in the summer as opinions change and other players surface. The rankings are based on skill, talent, basically…who we think will be the top SRs of the 2012 season. Our evaluations are based on film review, Ignite Showcase performance, combines and practice observations.
