Plant travels down Himes Ave. to Jesuit for one of the most anticipated match ups of 2012. Lots of story-lines, plenty of friendly competition and even more great players. One of those players is 2013 RB, Wesley Bullock.

Bullock is known for his “Take no stuff” attitude and elusive moves on the football filed. He knows Jesuit is going to bring their “A” game but Plant has a plan. “We know some of their players go both ways [play offense and defense]. We are going to keep going at them. Hopefully, by time in the fourth quarter, my offensive line, does what they are suppose to do, which is wear them down, we should have a good chance of coming out with that win.”

After watching film on the 2011 Tigers, Bullock likes what he sees. Shows plenty of respect for his opponents, but also is excited because of what could happen. “I like that their backers are over aggressive. That’s a plus for a running back. As they are so aggressive, I’m itching and itching and itching and all I have to do is make that one move, make you miss. Once I’m in your secondary…That’s It!”

Jesuit will be itching to play. Hungry for contact coming from another team instead of their own teammates. It’s been nearly 10 months since their last game. Emotions will be high and Plant head football coach, Robert Weiner has been preaching discipline. “He [Coach Weiner] has been harping on ‘Staying Discipline!’ The are a team who has not played their first game yet. They are going to be ready. Stay focused becasue we have games under our belt. Stay focused and stay disciplined. The most disciplined team with the least amount of mistakes will come out victorious in the end.”

Game is scheduled for 8:05 pm, Saturday night at Jesuit high school. It is expected to be a sellout with standing room only.

RECRUITING
Wesley Bullock: “Nothing new. Same schools have been sending me letters.” Bullock says he is developing interest in South Florida and the Bulls have been expressing a lot of interest in him. No offer yet, but “I could really see myself going to USF because it’s really close to home and as a program, they are building up, building up and building up. They will be at the top once they get situated.”
