Spring Practice: Jesuit

Jesuit-The large number of players and the field turf, gave Jesuit’s practice something like a small college feel. When I arrive the Tigers were going through a series of general agility stations; working footwork, change of direction and balance. The practice was very crisp and the players seemed to know what to expect. Each coach was working their tail off and players were very responsive to instruction. The tempo was not too slow and not too fast, but just right for the 1st day of spring practice. Fundamentals were highly stressed at each position. Many of the big name players were absent due to other sports, but you would have been able to tell. Robby Garcia and Cameron Ruff looked pretty darn good. Garcia looks to be a TE/DE and Ruff an offensive lineman. Both with great frames. Eveld did not throw many balls today as the Tigers were working a 4 QB rotation looking to up the competion for 2nd and 3rd string.
