Shark attack: Nature Coast’s Jamison Carnegie

This member of the Class of 2016 ATH can do a little bit of everything if you need him. The Sharks needed him to run their offense last season as Carnegie rushed for 579 yards and eight touchdowns along with passing for 351 with two touchdowns. Carnegie’s main role was to enhance the already potent attack they possessed with Deshawn Smith, who rushed for two yards shy of 1,500 and was on the receiving end of Carnegie’s passes for a total of 119 yards. Carnegie helped lead the Sharks to a 7-4 season and to the first round of the playoffs in Head Coach Justin Worden’s first season. Something Nature Coast has not accomplished since 2009.

As far his skill set is concerned, he truly is the definition of the ATH position. Carnegie has a very quick release and can throw a very nice deep ball once he gets his feet set. This 6-foot, 170-pounder is most lethal to opposing defenses once he’s on the move in the open field, however. Pay attention to this young man’s development as the season continues.
