AROUND THE STATE

Going hunting: Springstead OL, Hunter Hramika

FORGET IHOP. Change your plans for breakfast if you like pancakes and come see what this prospect is serving to opposing defenders for his Eagles squad. Hramika stands at 6-foot-2, 315-pounds and moves around like his weight is half of that total. Most of his work comes from the LT position, but his film does show he can play a little bit at the RG position if the situation calls for it.

Hramika helped clear paths for his Eagles to post solid numbers on offense and a 6-4 record that had them in a Monday tiebreaker with Mitchell and Sunlake for the district championship. The Eagles are known in those parts and to the hsfb junkies statewide for playing a meat grinder style of offense a la Newsome, East Bay, and even some teams like Lake Brantley from across the I-4 corridor.

The distinguishing characteristics that make Hramika such an attractive prospect to us is that he has “that dawg” which at the frame is more-than-half the battle. When you watch him stick and push the sled down the field in the running game like he’s trying to push a Live Oak from its roots, then watch him set his anchor and stick with his hands in pass-pro things get a little warm and fuzzy if you’re in search of a piece to the puzzle up front.
