‘Cats out of the cradle now: Hardee QB, Hayden Lindsey

This young man has some serious potential in our eyes. The best part, he’s still got two years left as a member of the Class of 2017 to reach the heights we feel he can hit. Hayden Lindsey is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound versatile signal-caller that posted over a thousand yards through the air and ground combined with 14 touchdowns in total. Although the Wildcats went 5-5 last season with a tough loss to their bitter rivals DeSoto County, they did manage to rack quality wins versus Frostproof and Bradenton-Southeast.

Lindsey has a very strong arm and is extremely mobile once he exits the pocket. He also displays good instincts when climbing in the pocket and moving side-to-side to create better throwing lanes for himself. His feet are quick and his speed is not to be taken for granted. When he can set his feet and whip the ball down the field, Lindsey’s accuracy is good as they get. He did have a tendency to the throw interceptions at times when the Wildcats could least afford them, but as we emphasized earlier he is more than capable of correcting those issues and time is definitely on his side. Keep an eye on him as the Spring, Summer and eventually Fall seasons progress.
