Pugh’s View: The Knights were just one game from Orlando for 2 straight years and just couldn’t get past the team from the Glades. The pride of Port Tampa will have a completely different feel to them, but I wouldn’t be so quick to relegate them to rebuilding status. Granted it would be a cinderella story like no other to see them in Orlando this year, but Robinson is well-coached and they’ve got more than enough talent to have them in the hunt with Lakewood and Jesuit for the 8-5A title. It’s impossible to replace this graduating class, more so from a leadership standpoint than talent. The Knights are gonna be more then alright folks.

Must Have: Amnesia. This ‘new era’ of Knights must forge their own legacy. On the field, they’ve got to have guys step up and be leaders. They also need to take full advantage of one of the best home atmospheres around.

Uh-Oh: Big district can lead to big problems if they can’t get out to a fast start. Jefferson the 1st week of the season should be an old-fashioned barn burner.
