Pugh’s View: This COULD be the year we see Patriot Pride making a run to the playoffs. They’ve got all-world University of Florida Commit Jeremi Powell on both sides (much better at LB), but need to find some diversity within their offense. Some fairly stout defenses await them on their schedule. Circle 3 dates: 9/9 vs Largo, 10/6 vs St. Petersburg, and 10/28 at Countryside. Their late October trip to North Pinellas will probably decide their fate.
Must have: Jeremi Powell must remain healthy and the ‘Park must get off to a fast start with four of their 1st five at home.
Uh-oh: If Jeremi Powell doesn’t stay healthy and they have to finish four of five on the road without him.
