The Plant Panthers defend their June Sling and Shoot 7v7 title by defeating Kissimmee Osceola Kowboys 30-9.  Plant, the 2012 June Sling and Shoot Champions, traveled to USF with two teams.  The Gold Team, eliminated Armwood’s B team in overtime in a triller.

The Plant Gold team would advance to face the The Plant Black team, which consisted of the majority of the expected starters and veterans. The Gold squad would hold their own, but eventually fall to the more experienced Panther team. The Panther Black squad would meet Lake Gibson in the semi finals in what was a dog fight highlighted by defensive plays, feistiness and a few ejections. The Panthers edged out the Lake Gibson Braves to advance to the championship round.

Osceola knocked off Armwood 1 to earn the right to meet Plant in the championship round. The Panthers would get out the gate early and often to cruise to a 30-9 victory and repeat as the June Sling and Shoot Champions.
