I loved the campus, the location, everything about Miami and familiar with a few of the current players,” said McGough.

What made the decision even better, “My parents support my decision 100%. My Mom and Grandmother visited the campus with me last Wednesday and loved it.” FIU expressed to McGough that they originally they intended to take 1 QB commitment but the staff made an adjustment and wanted to take 2.

QB Luke Medlock also committed to FIU.  McGough said he felt relieved with the offer and commitment. The hometown kid, with a big fan base will stay close to home and compete for playing time with the Panthers. Until then, he is the leader of a Cowboy team with high aspirations how playing deep into the playoffs. McGough will continue to work, but he is excited to call FIU home in mid 2014.
