Seffner, June 26, 2019- TGIW. Today we jump into the weekend with BCP camper and two-sport student-athlete, Jarred Bryant. The 5’9″ 150-pound wide receiver and corner, who contributed at safety a sizable amount this past junior year, also shows out on the clay as a track runner for the Crusaders. Here’s another in-depth BCP player feature on a devoted student of the classroom and the game.
Seffner Christian Academy has been lacing up their gridiron cleats for nearly a decade with its establishment of the sport in 2010. There’s always a learning curve the first year (2-7) but since then, the team has only posted one more negative season which came in 2017; and man did they bounce right back this year, with an 11-1 deep second-round playoff run (school football record for most wins in a season).
A physical and mental factor not to be overlooked in that success story, came courtesy of Jarred’s light and agile feet in the defensive secondary AND out wide with some crisp receiving routes. Bryant never shy’s away from contact or being a team player in a variety of valuable aspects. In 8 games played according to MaxPreps, Jarred collected 13 total tackles, (7 solo), 2 TFLs and a fumble recovery.
