Momentum – That’s what the 2012 East Bay Indians are riding. A disappointing 2010 season (1-10) turned into an encouraging 2011 season (4-7) and the Indians are planning on doing the same in 2012 – Improve. Aspirations are set high. Playoffs. Even states.
East Bay has an impressive one-two running back punch which will again be at the forefront and feature of their offense.
2013 Brandon Byrd, RB – Coming of an impressive 2011 season Byrd is an imposing prospect. Standing taller than 6-feet 1-inches Byrd has swift feet, good body control, impressive speed and is overall an intimidating figure in the backfield. Byrd is also a nice target out of the backfield and is capable of splitting out wide.
2013 Quaeshawn Laurent, RB/DB – The other half of East Bay’s one-two punch Laurent has a quick first step and is explosive through the hole. Just shy of 6-feet tall, Laurent could also project to be a solid defensive back prospect down the road.
2014 Chris Carpentier, QB- He has seen great improvement as he has grown and matured in his first two years. Carpentier has great size at 6-feet 5-inches and weighs close to 200 pounds.
2014 Deondre Romeo, LB – Good frame, quick feet, explosive at the point of attack.
