Robinson – South Tampa gets wild

South Tampa was rocking at 3 p.m. when the Knights took the field. West Virginia, Western Michigan, FAU and USF were all on hand to check out head coach Mike Depue’s fiery team in pads for the first time in 2012. Coming off a 9-3 season, Robinson is looking to build and make another run in the playoffs.

Bruce Hector, 2013 OL -Great feet. Great motor. Good upper body strength. Can play on the defensive side of the ball as well. Interest is beginning to build – his stock will pop.

Conner Rafferty, 2013 OL – Great size, standing taller than 6-feet 4-inches. Like Hector, his stock is building. He too will pop eventually.

Vidal Woodruff, 2013 QB – Stock continues to rise. Woodruff has a good arm, great footwork, and is big enough. He moves well in the pocket and is capable of throwing on the run. Western Michigan and USF coaches were impressed with Woodruff at practice. He reports heavy interest from West Virginia.

Dominic Jennings, 2013 LB – Good motor and explosion at the point of attack. Projects better as a safety, but isn’t afraid to come up and stick the bigger backs.

Michael Duclos, 2015 RB – Youngster with a high ceiling. Duclos is built like a tank. Short and squatty, but has great footwork. Needs to work on his hands, but Duclos is dangerous with the ball, and linebackers don’t like putting their shoulder down on him.

Martin Ruiz, 2013 RB – A slashing rusher with good side to side movement. He makes defenders miss and has decent speed. He and Duclos will compliment each other well.
