HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY RECRUITING

Another Bull in the pen: Bloomingdale LB Colin Errity

The 2017 prospects are starting to jump off the pages at this point and Colin Errity is one of those young men fitting that trend. This 6-foot, 225-pound middle linebacker is already showing the signs of the prototypical “QB” on defense seemingly in the right position constantly. Errity’s strengths are similar to Josh Anderson’s from Lennard in that he shows fantastic athleticism in the middle and can do both chores assigned whether it’s blowing up gaps or dropping into coverage. In just his sophomore season, Errity totaled 80 tackles for the Bulls with eight of those coming for losses. He also tallied a sack and two interceptions along with a pass deflection to his credit. As alluded, Errity hits the gaps with force, but can recover and change direction laterally rather easily using his quick feet and his natural instincts to move with the play. He’s as aggressive and cut from the exact piece of cloth you would want at this stage in development at the position.
