POLK COUNTY RECRUITING

This Hound’s hot on the trail: Auburndale DL Keandre Jenkins

He still has two years left to hone his craft, but this 2017 prospect on the defensive line out in Polk County surely gives the folks wearing the Royal Blue and Gold plenty reasons to be excited. Jenkins is entering his third season on the varsity for the Bloodhounds returning to a team that looks to improve on its 6-5 record and first round exit in the playoffs. They enter into a district that is chocked full of talent with Lake Wales and Lake Gibson, but Jenkins along with some of his often-mentioned teammates on the offensive side of the ball may give those teams reasons to believe they’ve got a fight on their hands. Jenkins managed just eight tackles his freshman season with three of those for loss, then turned it on last year recording 39 tackles (24 solo) and 2 sacks coming against Ridge and Mulberry respectively. Jenkins has camped and worked tirelessly to sharpen his already active hands along with great explosion off the line of scrimmage.
