PINELLAS COUNTY RECRUITING

This Warhawk will work: Seminole OL/DL Jordan Halfinds

Seminole’s Jordan Halfinds checks-in at a well-built 6-foot-3.5 inches and 227-pounds and can play on either side of the trenches. His biggest potential comes on the offensive line at the tackle and could make life a little difficult when paired with big-time prospect Brandon Walton for opposing defensive lines. Halfinds showed a great motor at E7 during the spring in Lakeland that confirms what his tape showed from last season. Halfinds explodes from his stance really well and drives when in run blocking and understands how to set his feet in pass protection and use his hands. Halfinds also shows good instincts at the defensive end position and could help the Warhawks immensely as a playmaker from that spot in a district that includes East Lake, Pinellas Park, St. Petersburg and Countryside. Halfinds is likely to draw an assignment or two versus BCP’s #6th-ranked player overall in the Class of 2017, Dunedin’s Kane Taylor in their spring game so his progression is likely to be tested right away come May 21st.
