BCP Summer Position Rankings: Receivers

There are big changes in the receiver rankings. The Spring and Summer are filled with opportunities for receivers to get noticed, many took advantage and moved up or in the BCP receiver rankings.

Two receivers who made a big splash this offseason and are expected to be two of the best for the 2012 season, Austin Gallon and Raheem Harvey. Gallon is a 2014 prospect at Armwood high school and took full advantage of the offseason. The 6-2 receiver should be a great compliment to Alvin Bailey, giving Darryl Richardson another downfield threat to stretch the defense.

Harvey has been on the BCP radar for a while, but finally broke through this offseason.  “Hard work pays off.  If you think training is hard, try losing.  I didn’t think I was going to be ranked.  I didn’t think it could happen.  I have been flying under the radar.”  Harvey is super talented, great frame and competitive attitude.  He will be a factor for Largo headed into their playoff run.

Gallon was truly surprised to be BCP ranked and had this to say, “Feels good. Give me a boost of confidence. It motivates me to work harder. Just keep training harder.”

To say the 2011 season is behind the Armwood family would probably be incorrect. However, the team leaders are looking forward to the 2012 season to claim what they feel is rightfully theirs…another state title. Before the Hawks can compete in Orlando, they will have to, one by one, defeat the teams on their schedule and Austin Gallon wants to be a key factor in those wins.
