Zoom in on Jeff Keil, Wharton RB

Every RB is not 5-11, 185lbs, runs a sub 4.5 and looks like he was hand molded. Some backs look like you and I. That’s, if you work out just a little, have a slight beer belly and can’t run a mile under 9 mins.

Jeff Keil at Wharton is likely in way better shape than that, should have a 6 pack, at least a 4 pack and probably could runs 2 miles in 9 minutes. My point is, he is not the best looking football specimen. He will likely not be the top rated RB in the state and carry a ton of verbal offers. However, he gets the job done.

Watching this film, you will see a 2014 RB from Wharton who displays heart and toughness. He never curls on contact, has good hands out the back field and actually really good vision.

Rumor is, the young man has the same G.P.A. as my current forty yard dash time. Something like a 5.2 grade point average. We are a sports based company, so we celebrate athletic accomplishments. But, when a kid has a GPA high enough to give away some points to kids who need help, that’s something to smile at.

With all that said, watching Jeff Keil work for Wharton was refreshing. Blue collar kid, who love the game.
