RECRUITING

Zach Benjamin commits to USF

UPDATED: Zach Benjamin verbally committed to the University of South tonight after being offered by the Bulls just 24 hours prior. The decision was bitter sweet for the senior Crusader as he has always wanted to be a Bull, but had to tell the other coaches from other universities “Thank You”, but he would not be committing to them.

After a really good junior year and awesome spring, Benjamin and others scratched their heads as to why the 6-4 receiver had yet to receive a verbal offer. Finally on May 4th, Toledo and UMASS pulled the trigger.

Fast forward, Benjamin holds offers from: Western Kentucky, Ohio, Arkansas State, Bowling Green, Colgate, Air Force, Toledo and UMASS. However, will keep his talents home with South Florida.

Finally, after a super strong spring and HUGE summer, Tampa Catholic 2013 WR, Zach Benjamin receives an offer from the University of South Florida.

“They are my number one now”, said Benjamin. Before the recent USF offer, he was leaning heavy towards Western Kentucky but had yet to make a commitment.

The Bulls offer shakes things up some as Zach says he is a BIG fan of the program and really likes the coaching staff.  “Local ‘Freak Show [Andre Davis]’ would be a great mentor”.
