Mazzi Wilkins, Plant 2014 CB has verbally committed to the University of South Florida. He is our #5 ranked CB prospect and USF also has a verbal commit from our #1 CB prospect, Tajee Fullwood.

Under former South Florida coach, Skip Holtz, USF was the first school to offer Wilkins at the annual Sling and Shoot. Current head coach, Willie Taggart reaffirmed the offer to Wilkins during this past spring.

Holds offers from: Indiana, UCONN, Syracuse, Ball State, Bowling Green, Middle Tennessee, UCF, Washington State, Memphis, USF. “They [USF] have been down with me through it all. I feel like USF is the perfect fit for me because of what kind of person I am,” said Mazzi.

Wilkins becomes the 7th area South Florida commitment. Third defensive back prospect from the area. Jefferson QB Deiondre Porter will likely make the transition to defensive back once he puts on a Bull’s uniform.
