If you are a Tampa Bay high school football fan, you know the name Juwan Brown. Since starting his first game as a freshman, Brown has wowed many and surprised few. The Largo High rising junior QB is special. He makes plays with his arm and with his legs. Starting midway through the 2009 season, Brown ended the year with over 500 yards passing and 200 yards rushing. With potential through the roof, Brown’s sophomore season was expected to be a great one. Surrounded by talent on both sides of the ball, the expectations for Largo were high. But then tragedy hit the Packers when the 2013 QB, went down with a season ending injury after playing the first 5 games of the 2010 season. Through the first five games of the 2010 season, Brown amassed 515 yards passing and 230 yards rushing. Rehab has gone great for Brown who stepped back into his familiar role as the Packers starting QB this spring and had a solid performance. BCP photographer, Willie Kelly, put on his journalist/writer hat and took it upon himself to find out a bit more on the kid they call “Nikki”.
