It has been a good year for BCP Area passers. 10 of the top 15 (total passing yards) threw for 2,000 or more yards. 6 of the quarterbacks listed threw 25 or more touchdown passes. Every quarterback below completed .50 percent of their passes and 5 of the 15 completed better than .60 percent of their passes.
Cambridge Christian senior QB Jaylin Jackson was special again this season. Leads the area in passing yards and passing yards per game. Threw for more than 200 yards in 7 games this season. His ability to escape blitzes, avoid tacklers and buy time usually resulted in positive plays for the Lancers.
Jackson ended his career with 5,501 passing yards and 66 touchdown passes. He completed 323 of 569 passes with just 27 interceptions.

Bryan Gagg, Braden River (Bradenton); Jaylen Shazell, Superior Collegiate (Clearwater) and Jaylin Jackson, Cambridge Christian (Tampa) led the area in QB rating. All three produced big numbers and took care of the football. Riddell, Penix Jr. and Harrison made a living throwing TD passes. All with 30 or more TD passes just this season.
