GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – ESPN’s popular pregame show College GameDay will originate from the 2017 Dr Pepper Atlantic Coast Conference Football Championship Game in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday, Dec. 2, the network announced Sunday.
The game will feature Clemson (Atlantic Division Champion) and Miami (Coastal Division Champion) in an 8 p.m. contest that will be nationally televised on ABC.
This marks the first appearance for ESPN’s College GameDay at the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game, and the fifth time this season the show has originated from the site of an ACC football game.
Earlier this season, GameDay broadcast from the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta, which featured Florida State and Alabama on Sept. 2; from the Louisville campus for the Clemson at Louisville game on Sept. 16; from the Clemson at Virginia Tech game in Blacksburg, Virginia, on Sept. 30; and from Miami’s campus for the Hurricanes’ game against Notre Dame on Nov. 11.
In all, current ACC schools have hosted GameDay 39 times and have had the show broadcast from the site of their games 100 times.
This week will mark the 16th time GameDay has been at a Clemson game, and the Tigers have hosted the show five times. Miami has had GameDay at its game 19 times, hosting on seven occasions.
