BAY AREA BITES

Three DBs To Track This Offseason

Lakeland Christian 2023 DB Jamareon “TC” Bell

Bell had a great season on both sides of the ball for the Vikings. Defensively, the 6’2” 182 pound athlete had 61 tackles, 5 interceptions, 5 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery which he returned 40 yards for a touchdown. Offensively, he contributed primarily at receiver where he finished with 310 total yards and 5 touchdowns. His combination of size, athleticism, and ball-skills allow him to be a very versatile play-maker in the Vikings’ secondary. He is also playing basketball for LCS. Bell is a player I expect to start picking up a lot of interest this off-season as more recruiters are able to get their eyes on him.

Countryside 2023 DB Jalen Brown

Brown is another defensive back with good size and ability. He was a major factor in run-support for Countryside this season. He finished his junior season with 55 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and 3 fumble recoveries with 1 being returned for a touchdown. He is listed at 6’2” tall and weighs 170 pounds. He moves well and is not afraid to come downhill and put his hat on ball-carriers.

Victory Christian 2023 DB Armoni Rue

Rue was a big-time playmaker for the Storm defense all season. The 5’10” 170 pound junior accumulated 56 tackles, 6 interceptions, 1 interception return for a touchdown, 3 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. He is another versatile defensive back with great instincts. The combination of physicality and ball-hawk ability makes him an asset and a fun player to watch.
