Largo is accustomed to having talented athletes who leaves their program and continue to do great things in college and the NFL. The 2013 class has a group of awesome players led by QB Juwan Brown and ATH Derrick Doss. The 2014 class is stacked. Francisco Hernandez and Jarvis Stewart are the headliners who will attract major college attention.

The 2015 class has a chance to be really good. In that class is a rising sophomore, 6-2/170 S with a verbal offer from Indiana. Jonathan Stewart stands out amongst a team saturated with talent. He has extremely long arms, great lower body and sweet feet.

He was tossed into the fire last year, as a freshman at the safety position with little experience. “I had to learn a lot. It was tough. I had never played this position [safety]. I had to listen to my coaches and try and do my best.” He totaled 30 tackles in 2011 and is looking to improve in 2012.

In addition to his verbal offer from Indiana, Crawford is also receiving mail from Iowa and Miami. He is a two sport stud, lining up as shooting guard on the basketball court…looks up to Kobe Bryant and doesn’t really have a professional football player that he mimics his game after.

Crawford says his vision is his biggest asset, “I can see the field. Get to where I need to get to and make plays. Just like any young pup, Crawford can only get better. Every facet of his game will need to improve in order to become a BIG TIME prospect, “I need to work on my speed and quickness so I can get to the ball faster.” But right now, the future looks bright.
