The Best and the Worst Nicknames

Throughout sports, the nickname defines players.  “Clutch”, “Magic,” “The Great One” and “Smooth” are as synonymous with success as the men who made them famous.  But nicknames come early.  Backyard football and youth leagues are breeding grounds for good nicknames…”T-Rex”, “Big Country” and “Thump” are some youth league nicknames of some players I know that stuck with the respective players all through high school.  The nickname can describe attributes of an athlete’s play, characteristics or physique.  Like “Black Magic”, “Head” or “Deebo”. But one thing is for sure, if you are a good player, you have a nickname.

With this in mind, I asked some of the BCP Facebook fans, what their nicknames are. Some are really good.  Some are lame.  But this is what we got:
