A Second Opinion: There’s not much introduction needed for this article entitled, “Corruption Will Continue In NCAA College Basketball Until Schools Can Openly Pay Their Players”, other than THIS IS NOT an endorsement either way for or against compensating student-athletes. It is merely some more information from a very *credible* source of information. Keep in mind this was written nearly 2 years ago. https://www.forbes.com/sites/marcedelman/2017/09/27/corruption-will-continue-in-ncaa-college-basketball/#67e272cc3315
Well, THAT’S awfully rich: Hello pot, meet our good friend kettle. Given the fact that Portland is Nike country, an article outing one of their biggest rivals, Adidas seems to be the height of irony. Seeing as how many of these companies are involved (Adidas just happened to get caught) in this sort of tomfoolery, it feels like this could be foreshadowing some other issues down the road if in fact Adidas isn’t the only one to have been caught red-handed. https://www.oregonlive.com/business/2019/02/basketball-bribes-how-adidas-bankrolled-a-black-market-for-top-teenage-talent.html
