HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY PINELLAS COUNTY RECRUITING THE BOX

Stacked Class: 2013 Tampa Bay college football prospects

The players listed below are my personal top ranked 2013 prospects in Tampa Bay. This is not an official BCP ranking or list, but my opinion on who are the top college football prospects. This is not based on recruitment or interest level, rather ability, talent and impact. Many of the players listed have multiple BCS offers and some have no offers at all. But, all will be playing at the division 1 collegiate level.

1. Rodney Adams, Lakewood
WR/S |6-1 | 175
At the top spot for many reasons. Keeping it short, he is very explosive and agile. Can be good at receiver at the next level, but great in the secondary with his ability and size.

2. Vernon Hargreaves, Wharton
CB | 5-11 | 160
Definition of a lock down corner. Loose hips and fast feet. Competitive attitude and drive.

3. Leon McQuay III, Armwood
S | 6-2 | 180
Covers space like no other. Excellent up field and downfield speed. True safety prospect.

4. Tyree Graves, Pinellas Park
DL /OLB/TE | 6-3 | 220
Body type that can carry 50 more pounds and athletic like TE. Disruptive at any positive on defense.

5. Travis Johnson, Jesuit
WR | 6-4 | 200
The true big body possession receiver. Deceptive speed and soft hands.

6. Ryan Green, St. Pete Catholic
RB | 5-10 | 195
Production, power and vision make him so good. Big time college RB.

7. Richard Benjamin, Middleton
ATH | 6-0 | 180
Can be a very good corner prospect, though I believe he is a natural offensive player.

8. Jordan Sherit, Hillsborough
DE/TE | 6-3 | 220
220 pounds now, 260 pounds after his first spring as a college football player. Long arms and great lateral movement.

9. Jeremiah Green, Hillsborough
DB | 5-9 | 150
The most under recruited and most respected 2013 prospect in Tampa Bay. Physical and fast. Size will project him as a corner, 3 inches would make him the best safety in the state.

10. Darryl Richardson, Armwood
QB | 6-5 | 230
Off size alone, he can play any position. He will become a really really good QB. Projects as a true pocket passer in the maturing/developing stage.

11. Xavier Johnson, Chamberlain
ATH | 5-10 | 165
Not a big name now, but will be after the numbers he puts up in 2011. Plays running back and will post 1,000 yards plus this year, but will be a stud CB at the BCS level.

12. Robert Davis, Carrollwood Day
RB/DB | 5-9 | 170
Small school competition brings questions, but ability and talent is evident. Once the first BCS school jumps at him, the others will.

13. KJ Kyles, Armwood
TE | 6-3 | 230
Monster in a human body. May grow to 6-5 which will make him a highly recruited DE or TE. Physical, athletic with a nasty football attitude.

14. Nigel Harris, Hillsborough
LB | 6-2 | 190
Speed kills and that’s what we have here. Harris shoots the gaps in a hurry and finds his way through traffic.

15. Juwan Brown, Largo
QB | 6-2 | 180
I think Brown grows to 6-3 and can become a perfect spread option QB. Because he can run and is under 6-3, will be classified as a duel threat QB, but he is a legit QB (pro style or duel).
