Pugh’s View:
Last year was last year. That should be the mantra up at McMullen-Booth and Main going into this Spring. It’s nearly impossible to replace the impact (mentally) in one season that the Tyler’s and Dixon provided from a leadership standpoint. Enter Gray Crow and the rest of the supporting cast. The Cougars will go as far as this year’s class of Seniors take them. It may seem like there’s a ton of questions, and there are. However the Cougars found ways to win and of the guys that are returning, many of them saw experience and/or significant playing time during the season. They’re not ready to relinquish “Best in Pinellas” just yet.

Gray Crow will have to be the unequivocal leader of this team until they solidify their identity under Head Coach Jared Davis.

Must Have:
Consistent protection on the OL and be able to control the clock while on offense. MLB Adam Vinson may play a key role in unifying that defense that carried the Cougars through some anemic offensive performances at times.

Uh-Oh:
8 Interceptions versus 7 Touchdowns. You can show me the passing yardage, you can show me the win/loss, you can show me the money; remember it. Write it down. Take a picture. This stat is not going to cut it if the Cougars look to repeat the success of 2010. Period. The University of Miami Commit (Crow) is going to have to carry this team through 3 pretty formidable opponents in the first 3 weeks. Well 2 REALLY tough ones (EL, Largo) and a potential trap (Bogey).

Fun Fact:
This is the first time since the 2004 Season that neither Palm Harbor Univ, Dunedin, or East Lake are in a district with Countryside.
