Short Capsule: To the Warriors credit, the 2010 defense was not too bad. Only Robinson and Jesuit scored more than 25 points on the Warriors last season. Steinbrenner makes a huge jump in their state classification, going from 2A to 7A. But the warriors have more than a chance to be successful. The name of the game for Steinbrenner is “control the clock.” The Warriors want to keep opposing defenses on the field longer and wear down the opponent. Behind a returning offensive line and the legs of rising sophomore running back, Jake Carrol, the Warriors feel their plan can work!

“Saying Goodbye” (graduation or transfer):
Tobi Antigha, TE/WR
Alex Bombino, LB

“Hello Again” (key returners or potential Impact Players):
Amiri Brown, LB, 2013
Jake Carrol, FB, 2014
Curtis Fitch, QB, 2014
Zack Jones, RB/WR/CB, 2012
Logan McKnight, LB, 2013

“Coach Speak:” “As a football coach for some time, I have never had (up until this year) an entire group of returning Offensive Linemen that have played 20 games together. That just doesn’t happen in today’s day in age. I look forward to seeing what this group will do as a unit.” ~ Floyd Graham

“Fun Fact”: Steinbrenner’s first graduating class in school history, signed two senior standouts to play Collegiate Football.

“Must Have”: • Young players must compete at a high level
• Ball security on offense
• Manage the clock

“Uh-oh”: Steinbrenner’s offense is built around the run and ball security is the only one thing that must be stressed. The warriors cannot afford to turn the ball over and kill their own 9-15 play drives.
