So you want to be a BIG TIME LB?

Too often, parents and some high school coaches alike, ask the question “how come my son or player does not have early offers”? Usually this comes with QBs, RBs and LBs. There is a simple answer, he probably has not separated himself from the pack.

What does that mean? QBs have to display mechanics, touch and accuracy. RBs have to display skill and naturally instinct. LBs are even simpler. They must show a killer urge and desire. Not literally, but on film, they must look like they don’t have all of their marbles and may be slightly crazy.

When a college coach or scout sees film on a LB, it must be clear that he is the baddest boy in the locker room and there is no confusion on who is the alpha dog.
