Sharks’ past, Bulls’ future?

Riverview 2-2 vs Bloomingdale 2-2

Both teams fighting for respect. Both team trying to establish an identity. Each team is 1-1 at home and 1-1 on the road. Both teams are scoring, on average, 18 points per game and allowing just around 20 to the opposition. Something has to give.

In the past, The Riverview Sharks have owned the all time series 9-2. Prior to the Sharks recent disappointing seasons in 2010 and 2011, Riverview had never lost to Bloomingdale. Matter of fact, they have shutout the Bulls 5 times, never allowed more than 15 points and had outscored the Bulls, 288-42 in 9 games. That is an average of 32 points vs the Bulls and allowing just over 5 points per game to the Bulls.

But, under new management, Bloomingdale has turned the victories in their direction. The two teams did not play in 2007 and 2008. Riverview won in 2009, but Bloomingdale brought the hammer in 2010 and 2011. The last two years, Bloomingdale has defeated Riverview 41-12 and 42-0.

The Bulls thrive off of a balanced offensive attack. 185 yards per game on the ground and 113 yards per game in the air. Eugene Baker, again has been impressive. Averaging 106 yards per contest to control the rushing attack for Bloomingdale. Freshman QB, Isaiah McIntyre has been solid. Going into the Riverview game, he is averaging 115 yards passing and 128 total yards per game.

Both teams are putting up nearly 10 points per game in the first half and 10 point per game in the second half. Lots of similarities between the two teams. Who fights to come out on top?
