At the beginning of the season Big County Prep’s rated East Lake junior WR Artavis Scott as the second best receiver in the area and he has done little to disappoint. Scott, who is already receiving interest from SEC powers such as Florida and Alabama, has 55 receptions and ten touchdowns for the 11-1 Eagles.

Question: What is the team’s attitude after winning a huge playoff game against Vero Beach and then finding out Plant lost?

Answer: Our team knew that we had to come out and play for one another against Vero and we did. We “held the rope” and played amazingly. I was pretty disappointed when I found out that Plant lost. I really wanted a rematch from last year but I was not surprised. Plant was as good of a team as they were a year ago.

Q: What has been the difference with your team since the Largo loss?

A: We did not play up to our potential against Largo. After the game we knew it was time to regroup and refocus. We got back up on our feet and put the game behind us and have played better ever since.

Q: What player do you model you try to emulate?

A: It would have to be DeSean Jackson [Philadelphia Eagles WR] . That guy is an amazing athlete and I can only hope that I can get as far as he has.

Q: What college football teams impressed you the most with their play this year and why?

A: Has to be Notre Dame. Their undefeated season has been pretty great and they send me mail daily.
