Short Capsule: No beating around the bush on this one. The Strawberry Crest Chargers have a tough task at hand. Placed in a district with three of the most successful programs in Hillsborough County, along with 2 rising programs (Sickles and King), the Chargers have to focus on what they do right and how will that win them games. Rising sophomore QB, Trey Vandergrift is under the radar. The youngster could end the season as one of the most talked about QBs in the county. His coaches are very high on his ability and believe he could be the next great QB out of this area. Guillermo Garcia will lead the secondary, who will be test this year and tested often. If the back four can limit the homerun attacks which will come from Hillsborough, King, Armwood and Jefferson, The Chargers will be ahead of the curve.

“Coach Speak”: “The first varsity season record of 5-5 at SC was pretty good overall last year and the kids returning are stronger and more experienced but the big time opponents for the next two season will pose an even tougher challenge. We will need to continue to improve on a daily basis. This has been the focus from day one (improving everyday). I’m proud to say they have embraced the challenge.” ~ Todd Donohoe
