Pugh’s View: The Gryphons have their work cut out for them to say the least, but the task that lies ahead has not dampened their spirits one bit. If any, it’s made them even angrier that people are already doubting what they’re capable of doing this season. Their t-shirts say “It’s not about me” on them and that just might be the perfect mantra for the season. They will have a chip on their shoulder and it will be needed in the “District of Death.” They’ll be that team you least want to see (along with King HS) on the schedule if they live up to their capability.

Must Have: Four quarters of football each and every week. Who steps in for their Top 2 rushers in Cary White and Brieann Dollard?

Uh-Oh: Plain and simple, that district is the biggest uh-oh that I can find with the Gryphons this point. Seriously. Oh yeah, check the schedule too; Armwood, Hillsborough, Jefferson in consecutive weeks.
