Pugh’s View: We are kidding ourselves if we were to say that Jefferson DIDN’T have plenty of questions coming into this season. The Dragons are reloading, not rebuilding however and IF they can find someone to perform even a fraction of what they got from Mr. Football Quentin Williams, they will be JUST FINE. Granted, they’re in the toughest district in Tampa Bay and maybe the State of Florida (on paper), but that’s not as big of an issue as it may seem. They’re tentative trip to Cleveland against a well-respected, but rebuilding St. Edwards could be a springboard for their season. All they’ve got to do at that point is play Plant, Armwood, Hillsborough, and King in successive weeks upon return. Piece of cake right?

Must Have: Plain and simple, they must have consistency at the QB position. (And they must protect said quarterback regardless of who’s taking snaps.)

Uh-Oh: They very same thing they must have, could be their biggest problem if they don’t get it. No protection and lack of consistency on offense may put a ton of pressure on that defense to perform early and often. Absolutely brutal schedule, but one they can handle barring any major injuries to key players.
