Pugh’s View: “They’re loaded with talent, BUT”…I think the BUTS are gone this year. IF they can play consistent and learn to put teams away when they should, they could be this year’s shocker and make a serious run at a playoff spot. They’ve got to temper some of that swag they’re known for and channel it towards playing mistake-free first instead of “footloose and fancy-free”. This is a scary good team the next few years all things considered.
Must Have: A successful September and 4 quarters of football each and every game. Eliminate the mental errors and turnovers that plagued them on offense. They also must have whoever is playing opposite Dante Fowler become a beast on the defensive side of the ball to offset the inevitable double and triple-teams he will command.
Uh-Oh: Statistically, they need to replace their top three rushers, and two of three of their top wide receivers. No small task, but they’ve got the bodies to do it. Oh yeah, their district may be pound for pound the most competitive from top-to-bottom in the Tampa Bay Area.
