PINELLAS COUNTY RECRUITING

Sam Thompson shines. Gibbs and Clearwater have a good one

Sam Thompson, 2017 WR for Boca Ciega is one of the bright spots in a winless season for the Pirates. Head coach Max Smith is still attempting to get Bogie back to winning ways. In the process he credits several of his players for their leadership and efforts on and off the field. One of those players is Sam Thompson.

Sam leads the team with 17 catches for over 300 yards and 4 TDs. “He has been a big time playmaker for us. He is our best deep ball threat, red zone target and catches the ball well underneath. He continues to get better each week” Smith said. Coach also pointed out that Da’Juan Johnson, Gibbs (ATH-O, 2016, 5-8/165) and Camerron Ellis, Clearwater (S, 2016, 6-3/175) are “Dang good football player on both sides of the ball.”
