TAMPA —
This was thought to be a rebuilding year for Robinson, after graduating nearly their entire team from their state semifinal team from a year ago. But after Friday night’s win over defending 3A state champion Jefferson, that is clearly not the case.
The Knights jumped out to an early 18-11 halftime lead and were able to sustain it, as they defeated the Dragons 38-18 on Friday night.
WR Byron Pingle shined with a 40-yd touchdown reception from QB Antonio Hampton, while also returning a punt 80-yards for touchdown. Freshman RB Michael Duclos impressed in his varsity debut scoring two TDs.
