The trail of gifted athletes who have worn the Armwood football jersey is extremely long. Aaron Covington hopes to be another Hillsborough County talks about for years to come. Angelo Hadley, Leon McQuay and Kyle Gibson are recent Hawks to fly in the secondary and Covington has a chance to make his mark.

Covington’s junior season was cut short due to a broken arm mid season versus district opponent Sickles. The injury sidelined him for the majority of the remaining season before returning in the playoffs. He totaled 18 tackles, 1 QB hurry, 0 INTs, 8 Passes Deflected in 2012.

Aaron currently holds a verbal offer from Central Florida and receiving heavy recruiting attention from Toledo, Ole Miss and UCONN.

His summer plans are simple: Go to camps, get bigger and work hard everyday.
