2012 – Vernon Hargreaves III, Wharton
5’11” 180 DB. A 5 Star recruit who was named to the Under Armour, Parade, and USA Today All-American teams. Was named MVP of the Under Armour All-American game. As a senior he was 1st team All-State, 1st team All Tampa Tribune, 1st All Western Conference. Was Named the Suncoast Defensive Player of the year. The BCP Defensive Player of the year and the Tampa Bay Times Defensive Player of the year. As a junior he was 1st team All-State, 1st All Suncoast, 1st All County by both the Times and the Tribune, 1st Western Conference and 2nd All BCP. As a Sophomore he was 2nd All Conference and Honorable Mention Tribune All County. He led the Wildcats to back to back playoff appearances and finished his career with 18 touchdowns, 9 interceptions and 5 blocked kicks. He signed a scholarship with the University of Florida.
