PINELLAS COUNTY RECRUITING

Khaishef Edwards Has New Colors, Consistent Results

LED ALL SOPHOMORES (FLORIDA) IN 2017 IN RECEIVING YARDS

Khaishef Edwards is still a sophomore in high school, but that hasn’t halted his consistent statistical progression throughout the season. His numbers show high recruiting potential, but one thing we know for sure is he lead all sophomores in the FLA in receptions with a total of 1,138 yards, on 54 catches.

A transfer from Northeast to Largo high, Edwards played DB, KR, and WR but produced the most for Northeast at receiver, tallying ten touchdowns on the year, with 113.8 receiving yards per game.

His quickness and disciplined routes created the separation that allowed him to haul in those long touchdown catches like he did in four of the teams’ match ups this year; each one 70+ yards. Standing at 5’11” Khaishef has a work-horse mentality, always keeping his legs moving after the catch fighting for extra yards, and not to mention his precise vision in traffic.

He totaled 2 touchdowns in games against Clearwater Central Catholic, Boca Ciega, and Osceola with over 150 yards in two of those games to show for. In the three losses in which he didn’t score, he still managed to rack up 231 yards on 16 catches.

There’s no doubt this young athlete has great potential to continue growing his stats and play at an elite level, with only half of his high school football career written.
