There always seems to be a hidden gem at Berkeley Prep. Nelson Agholor, the most recent and glamoured who demanded the attention. One like him, does not run the fields at Berkeley Prep this season. However, Jared Shimberg could really be a hidden gem.

The 6-4/245lb TE is a big body with some interesting features. First, he runs ok. Not super athletic, but athletic enough if that makes sense. He has really long arms and a long frame that looks like it can hold weight. The previously mentioned makes me believe that he could really develop into an offensive line prospect.

Speaking with head football coach Dominick Ciao, Shimberg is attracting a lot of Ivy League attention. His outstanding grades have allowed him several options. Don’t be surprised if a division 1 school takes a chance on this young man later in the season. Take a look.
