Pasco High 2013 DT, Joey Ivie visited Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson and Georgia this past week on the Unsigned Preps Bus Tour.  The #1 rated DT in Tampa Bay came home very impressed with his visits.

Ivie holds offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Ole Miss., Tennessee, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, Florida, Florida St., Mississippi State, South Florida, UMass, Western Kentucky, Iowa State, FIU, Bowling Green, Purdue, Texas Tech and Miami

Clemson and Georgia have not yet extended a verbal offer to Ivie.  However, the coaching staff was very impressed with his camp performance and signs are pointing in the direction that Ivie will receive an offer from at least one of the two programs.  “Georgia’s facilities were unreal.  They are like something from the future.  I really like the coaching staff”, said Ivie.

“I was really impressed with the scenery at Tennessee as well as the stadium.  Auburn’s facilities and stadium was nice also.”  I asked Ivie to rank his visits: 1 Clemson, 2 Tennessee, 3 Georgia and 4 Auburn

Florida State is recruiting Ivie strictly as a defensive end.  Florida is recruiting him as a defensive lineman.  Ivie has not declared top schools, but says both UF and FSU will be on his short list.  He does not have a preference on playing DT or DE.  Just wants to play where he can see early time, help the team and will benefit him in the long run.

“If Clemson and/or Georgia offers, they definitely will be on my short list.”  Ivie will visit Florida tomorrow with teammates Janarion Grant and David Emmanuel.  Also has plans to visit Miami later in June.
