The wait is over. It’s game week. High school football is officially back in the state of Florida. The sounds of the pads popping and the poignant smells of sweat and grass mixed together have already started to waft throughout Tampa Bay. The team photos have been taken and captains are being designated. Everything seems to be right with the world. Six games take place on Thursday with teams from Pasco, Hernando, Polk and Pinellas getting the action started. On Friday, 58 games across the region kickoff fully engulfing us in pigskin paradise.
