Ignite Passers with youth and touch

Let’s start with this; We did not end with much QB film which makes it hard for a thorough evaluation. below are quick notes. Majority are live observations the day of the event. However, as said in the coaching circle, when live “It’s never as good as it seems and never as bad as it seems.” If we left any names off the list it’s because we did not have much film to give a solid evaluation.

# NAME SCHOOL POSITION CLASS HT WT

8 Tate Whatley Strawberry Crest QB 2018 6′ 175 – Intriguing young passers with a sweet spin and strong arm. Quick release, Tate can throw it high or low, ahead of his time with mechanics.

Larry Dalla Betta, Mitchell
Larry Dalla Betta, Mitchell

76 Holden Hotchkiss Lakeland QB 2017 6’3 185 – The sophomore can throw the deep ball or short passes. Most of his passes on Sunday were catchable balls.  Did not force much.

100 Larry Dalla Betta Mitchell QB 2017 6’3 190 – When he first camped with us a few summers back, Larry was 5-11. Now dude is 6-3 after his sophomore season. Increasing arm strength and speed up his release. Good ball handling and throws the deep ball well.

48 Chris Oladokun Alonso QB 2016 6’1 164 – QB MVP! Chris has a super quick release.  He only missed on a few passes during 1 on 1 because he can throw the ball high or low. Good ball placement and mechanics.

90 Tyler Wilkerson Auburndale QB 2016 6’0 190 – For a wing-T QB, he has quick feet, shows a smooth pass drop and tight body positioning.

93 Joseph “Scott” Edwards Jr. Bishop McLaughlin QB 2016 6’1.5 170 –  This kid stood out. Not because he performed the best. Because his body language displayed and effort was off the chart. He competed as if these were the last footballs he would throw in his life. Good velocity, can throw on the run and took coaching.

17 Isaiah Alexander Brandon QB 2016 5’10 145 – Ripped BHSN/BCP 9 Route 7 on 7 tourney in July of 2014. Best QB of all 30 teams. This past Sunday, he threw well. Good mechanics, ball handling and threw catchable balls.

77 Garrison Bryant Clearwater QB 2016 6’3 172 – Coming back from a shoulder injury midseason 2014, showed accuracy and threw open receivers. Impressive how he threw to spot where the receiver should be and not to the receiver allowing DBs to close.

103 Hunter Orem Lake Gibson QB 2016 6’2 190 – Played on the defensive side of the ball the majority of 2014. Looks like he has tighten up his velocity, spirals, and zip on intermediate passes.

35 Malik Tyson Robinson QB 2016 6’2 190 – Good surprise. Limited observations from the 2014 season. However, Ignite provided us with some useful info on him. Grips the rock, has a pretty strong arm and has great ball location on his deep routes. Can throw the whole route/passing tree.

88 Hayden Lindsey Hardee QB 2017 6’0 165 – Starting to pay attention more to this youngster because he keeps showing up to BCP events. Now his name gets circled as soon as the roster is printed (One to Watch). Strong arm. Throws the correct ball versus the respective coverage. Quick pass drop and release.
